Kyle Bartley has announced he has joined Swansea City from Arsenal after passing a medical.
Bartley came through a medical in South Wales on Thursday and revealed on
Twitter later in the evening the deal had been finalised.
The 21-year-old signed a new contract with Arsenal in 2011 but spentlast season on loan at Scottish giants Rangers and was told his chancesof first-team action would be limited.
Bartley said on
Twitter: "Swansea deal complete. Very happy. Was an extremely tough decision for me to leave Arsenal but felt the time was right.
"Swansea offered me an opportunity and I'm extremely excited to startmy career here - will always be thankful to Arsenal for my education.
"Was told my chances of game time this year would be limited, and asan ambitious young player I wanted to play in the Premier League.
"Now I'm here I will give 100% for Swansea. Thank you everyone who has been behind me. New chapter for me and I can't wait."
