Midfielder's contract cancelledWolves and Nenad Milijaš have reached agreement to cancel the midfielder’s contract by mutual consent bringing his three-year Molineux stay to an end.
The 30-year-old Serbian international, who had a year remaining on his deal, is now a free agent and able to pursue other opportunities either before or after the closure of the transfer window.
“The manager had told Nenad that his opportunities were going to be very limited this season and, as a result, we have reached mutual agreement on the cancellation of his contract,” said CEO Jez Moxey.
“He is therefore free to pursue other options and leaves with the best wishes of everyone at the club.
“He has been a very popular member of the squad, a real clubman who has been great to deal with, and we wish him every success in the future.”
Milijaš arrived at Molineux in the summer of 2009, and went on to make 72 appearances for the club, scoring nine goals.
His spectacular strike against Bolton in the 2009/10 campaign secured him Wolves’ Goal of the Season accolade via a supporters’ vote.
