Italian Super Cup returns to Rome
Officials have confirmed the Italian Super Cup between Lazio and Juventus will be played at the Stadio Olimpico on August 18.
The match was originally scheduled to be played in Beijing, but aSerie A Assembly decided to return the match to Rome after Juventusrefused to travel to China, while Lazio were not willing to move thematch to alternative venues such as Toronto.
Under theruling of the Assembly, Lazio will receive ?1.8 million forparticipating in the match, while Juventus will pick up the remainder ofrevenue available. It is understood Juve will launch an appeal againstthat decision.
