Andres Iniesta has saved his former club Albacete from relegation by stumping up £200,000 owed to the players.
The Barcelona star began his career at the Segunda Division B side and ensured they would not be demoted to the fourth tier of Spanish football for failing to pay their debt.

Iniesta, 29, is the largest shareholder at the club and injected £400,000 into the club two years ago.
He spent two years with the club before joining Barcelona as a 12-year-old in 1996. Iniesta will feature for Spain in Sunday's Confederations Cup final against Brazil.
