Fulham have dropped out of the chase for Aston Villa striker Darren Bent and have turned their attentions to Roma forward Pablo Osvaldo. The Cottagers are ready to offer the Serie A giants £8.6million for Osvaldo, who has a reputation for causing trouble for defenders on the pitch and officials off it.Capped eight times by Italy, the 27-year-old forward was recently linked with Southampton while sources in the Italian capital have suggested he may be a direct swap for Arsenal striker Gervinho who is heading to Roma.Fulham manager Martin Jol has quietly but efficiently gone about his business this summer, buying central defender Fernando Amorebieta, Ghana midfielder Derek Boateng and goalkeeper Maarten Stekelenburg this summer.Bent, meanwhile, is in limbo. Unwanted at Aston Villa, his move to Newcastle remains in the balance as their preferred options to bolster their attack are Lyon striker Bafetimbi Gomis and QPR forward Loic Remy.http://metro.co.uk/2013/07/25/fulham-pursue-roma-forward-pablo-osvaldo-3899144/
