Croatia want to hold talks with Manchester United's Adnan Januzaj about international future Croatia are the latest country to confirm that they intend to talk with Adnan Januzaj about his international future.
Reports have claimed that, through his mother, Manchester United player Januzaj also qualifies for Croatia. Up to now, Januzaj qualifies for Albania, Serbia, Turkey and the place of his birth Belgium.
He could also play for Kosovo - although they are yet to be recognised by FIFA or UEFA. England are also interested in Januzaj, who in theory could qualify to play for them as early as 2016 through residency - depending on FIFA regulations.
But Croatia are now also confirming their interest in the Manchester United midfielder.
"One of the managers from Albania has told me that Adnan's mother is from Croatia so
we are of course interested in him," Croatian Under-21 manager Ivo Susak told Sportske Novosti. "His potential is amazing but we know we are facing an uphill battle for him.
"As for now he has no Croatian papers so this is an important issue. We are yet to speak with him but we are of course planing talks with this young player."
