Transfer News: Hull agree fee for Jake Livermore with Tottenham



Hull have agreed an undisclosed fee with Tottenham for the permanent transfer of midfielder Jake Livermore.

The 24-year-old is currently discussing personal terms with Steve Bruce’s side and Hull hope to conclude the deal early next week.

Livermore spent last season on loan with Hull where he made 41 appearances, scoring six goals.

A message on the club's official Twitter feed read: "Hull City can confirm that an undisclosed fee has been agreed with @SpursOfficial for the permanent transfer of Jake Livermore.

"Personal terms are being discussed and we hope to conclude the deal early next week."

The Enfield-born youngster is a product of Tottenham’s academy and had loan spells with Derby County, Ipswich and Leeds early in his career.

He made his first-team debut for Tottenham in the 2-1 Premier League win at Stoke in 2010 and went on to make 58 first-team appearances for the club.

Hull City have completed the signing of Jake Livermore from Tottenham Hotspur for an undisclosed Club record fee.

The 24-year-old midfielder has signed a three-year deal with the Club having impressed whilst on loan at the KC Stadium last season.

Livermore made 41 appearances and scored three goals as the Tigers finished 16th in the Barclays Premier League

and made an historic first-ever appearance in the FA Cup final in 2013/14.

Delighted to now be a permanent member of Steve Bruce’s squad, Livermore is relishing the next chapter of his career with the Tigers.

“I'm delighted to be joining Hull City on a permanent basis," he said after completing the deal earlier today.

“I thoroughly enjoyed my season here on loan and I firmly believe that this club will keep on going from strength to strength.

I made my feelings known that I wanted to come here permanently and once the two clubs had agreed the fee, it was very straightforward."
