Crystal Palace: James McArthur, Kevin Doyle & Zeki Fryers sign Crystal Palace have broken their transfer record by spending £7m to make Wigan midfielder James McArthur one of three deadline-day signings.The 26-year-old looked set to join Leicester City last week, but the Foxes pulled out of the deal after signing Esteban Cambiasso instead.
Wigan were hoping to keep hold of McArthur, but he was keen on a return to the Premier League.
Palace also signed Wolves striker Kevin Doyle and Spurs defender Zeki Fryers.Republic of Ireland international Doyle, 30, has joined on loan until January while former Manchester United youngster Fryers has moved for an undisclosed fee.
The 21-year-old, who made 16 appearances for Spurs after joining the club for a reported £3m in January 2013, has signed a three-year contract.
