Frenchman makes SoL switch.
Sunderland AFC has confirmed the signing of former France international Anthony Reveillere. The 34-year-old full-back has signed a deal with the Black Cats until the end of the season and will wear the number 15 shirt. Pending international clearance from the Italian FA, Reveillere could be available to make his Black Cats debut against Arsenal this weekend.
Reveillere began his professional career at French side Rennes where he made over 100 appearances before moving to Lyon,
where he spent ten years gaining a wealth of UEFA Champions League and Europa League experience.
While with Lyon, Reveillere made almost 300 appearances, winning seven trophies including five Ligue 1 titles.
He was also selected by France for the FIFA World Cup in 2010 and the UEFA European Championships in 2012.
The defender spent last season with Serie A side Napoli, making 18 appearances and helping the Naples club to a Coppa Italia win, before his contract came to an end in the summer.
