Man City reach agreement with Pep Guardiola




Manchester City have reached a tentative agreement with Pep Guardiola to manage the team next season, beIN SPORTS have reported.
Man City have been disappointing in their defence of the title this season with Manuel Pellegrini at the helm as Jose Mourinho’s Chelsea have romped their way to the top of the Premier League.
The Citizens have underperformed with a number of stars failing to find the form that made them champions in the previous campaign.
Both Yaya Toure and Vincent Kompany have come under criticism from fans and pundits alike as City have struggled against weaker oppositions such Burnley, QPR and West Ham.
And now it has been revealed that Pellegrini will be replaced with the ever successful Pep Guardiola this summer.

Since 2008 Guardiola has won five league titles and two Champions Leagues in his time with both Barcelona and Bayern Munich.
This season he has casually strolled to the Bundesliga title but has failed in cup competitions.
Bayern lost to Borussia Dortmund in the semi-final of the DFB Pokal and recently lost 3-0 to his old side Barcelona in the first-leg of the semi-final of the Champions League.
BeIN SPORTS have revealed that he will leave the Bundesliga outfit at the end of the season and join up with Man City.

Guillem Balague: No truth in Pep Guardiola to Manchester City report

Guillem Balage says reports that Pep Guardiola will leave Bayern Munich for Manchester City in the summer are ‘rubbish’.

The sports channel beIN Sports tweeted on Saturday afternoon that the Bayern boss had reached a verbal agreement to take over at the Etihad.

But, speaking on Sky Sports, Spanish football expert Balague said there is absolutely no truth in the claim.

“I have asked both clubs and the entourage of the manager and two of the three have come out with the same word: rubbish,” said Balague.

“It is nonsense, nothing in it - no agreement, no talks, nothing in it at all.”

Guardiola’s Bayern Munich suffered their fourth straight defeat on Saturday as they were shocked 1-0 at home by Ausburg in the Bundesliga and face Barcelona in the Champions League semi-final, second leg on Tuesday trailing 3-0 after defeat in Spain.

City manager Manuel Pellegrini has refused to be drawn on questions about his future after the defending champions fell short in their defence of their Premier League title this season and face QPR on Sunday, live on Super Sunday.
