Guus Hiddink reveals Remy is injured but that won't prevent him moving on
Chelsea boss Guus Hiddink has not ruled out Loic Remy leaving the club before the transfer deadline.
The French forward is wanted by a number of Premier League sides including Newcastle United and title contenders Leicester.
Hiddink is bringing in Alexandre Pato on loan, opening up the possibility for Remy to leave, although the former QPR striker is carrying an injury which rules him out of Sunday’s FA Cup tie.Blues boss Hiddink neither confirmed or denied reports backup option Remy will leave before Monday night but says the club are monitoring the situation.
Hiddink said: “He’s injured at the moment. He’s got a slight injury on his calf.
“We’ll see what happens in the upcoming days.”
Meanwhile, the Chelsea manager confirmed that only paperwork was delaying Pato’s loan deal from being completed while New York Red Bulls defender Matt Miazga is also set to sign.
