Burnley have agreed a £2.5m fee for Charlton striker and Iceland international Johann Berg Gudmundsson, according to Sky sources. Gudmundsson is set to join the Premier League outfit after an impressive Euro 2016 campaign with Iceland. The 25-year-old started every game of the competition which saw his country reach the quarter-finals of the competition. The Chelsea and Fulham youth player started his senior career at Icelandic club Breiðablik before joining Eredivisie side AZ Alkmaar, where he stayed for five years. Gudmundsson has been at Charlton since July 2014, scoring 16 goals in 81 appearances.
Burnley have made just one signing so far this summer, with Jamie Thomas joining from Bolton on a free transfer.
Meanwhile, according to Sky sources, Burnley have taken Colombian teenager Juan Pablo Gonzalez Velasco on trial and have had a £3m bid rejected for Republic of Ireland international Jeff Hendrick.
