Burnley have agreed a £2.5m fee for Charlton striker and Iceland international Johann Berg Gudmundsson, according to Sky sources.

Gudmundsson is set to join the Premier League outfit after an impressive Euro 2016 campaign with Iceland. The 25-year-old started every game of the competition which saw his country reach the quarter-finals of the competition.

The Chelsea and Fulham youth player started his senior career at Icelandic club Breiðablik before joining Eredivisie side AZ Alkmaar, where he stayed for five years.

Gudmundsson has been at Charlton since July 2014, scoring 16 goals in 81 appearances.

Burnley have made just one signing so far this summer, with Jamie Thomas joining from Bolton on a free transfer.  

Meanwhile, according to Sky sources, Burnley have taken Colombian teenager Juan Pablo Gonzalez Velasco on trial and have had a £3m bid rejected for Republic of Ireland international Jeff Hendrick.

般尼周二宣佈貝治古蒙臣（Berg Gudmundsson）來投，簽約3年。英媒上周已指這支英超升班馬，與查爾頓達成250萬鎊的轉會協議，但球會未有在官方聲明中，交代轉會費數字。同日，同屬查爾頓的年青門將尼克普比，亦在這宗交易完成後數小時，一齊過檔。

古蒙臣在般尼官網道出加盟心情：「我覺得這是一間有家庭感覺的球會，每個人都緊密相連，上季當我代表查爾頓與般尼對壘，就覺得這裡氣氛良好，就像冰島在今屆歐國盃一樣的士氣。足球就是這樣，講求隊際精神及刻苦努力。」

司職翼鋒的貝治古蒙臣，在2014年由荷甲球會阿爾克馬爾，轉投查爾頓，上陣81仗射入16球，而在今夏歐國盃代表冰島在5場比賽皆正選披甲。

另外，降落英冠的諾域治，同日則宣佈簽下今夏回復自由身的北愛爾蘭首席門將麥高雲。麥高雲上季效力咸美頓，將與曾執教過該隊的金絲雀主帥阿歷士尼爾再續前緣。
