Stoke have opened talks over a possible deal for PSG forward Jese Rodriguez.
The 24-year-old former Real Madrid forward was expected to join Fiorentina on a two year loan with view to a permanent transfer.
But he has turned down a move to Italy and is keen to come to the Premier League.
Rodriguez starred for Los Blancos in his early career but has failed to establish himself as a regular since moving to France.
With the addition of Neymar for £198million, Rodriguez is now even further down the pecking order.
It seems Unai Emery is willing to consider deals for the Spaniard, putting Premier League sides on alert.  
Stoke have also enquired about Tottenham forward Vincent Janssen, as have West Bromwich Albion.
The Spurs forward is very much second fiddle to Harry Kane and failed to impress when given the opportunity last season.

Stoke should complete the loan signing of winger Jese Rodriguez from Paris St-Germain later today, according to Sky sources.

The former Real Madrid player had agreed a verbal deal to join Fiorentina, but Stoke moved in at the last minute with an offer, and Jese prefers a move to the Premier League.

The 24-year-old only joined PSG last summer in a deal worth over £22m.

Jese Rodriguez is to undergo a medical at Stoke City on Monday morning ahead of joining on a year's loan from Paris Saint-Germain.
The former Real Madrid star has fallen down the pecking order at Parc des Princes following the £198million arrival of Neymar and was not included in the squad that beat Guingamp on Sunday.
Jese had been poised to join Serie A outfit Fiorentina, but prefers a move to the Premier League and now looks set to become the latest former Spanish prodigy to arrive at the bet 365 Stadium following Bojan.

Paris Saint-Germain forward Jese Rodriguez signs Stoke loan deal

Stoke City have signed Jese Rodriguez on a season-long loan from Paris Saint-Germain.

The 24-year-old twice tasted Champions League glory with Real Madrid but has failed to make an impact at the Ligue 1 club, after moving to the French capital in the summer of 2016.

And with Jese now heading to the Potteries, it means Stoke have five Champions League winners in their squad, more than any other English club. Darren Fletcher (Manchester United), Bojan and Ibrahim Afellay (Barcelona) and Xherdan Shaqiri (Bayern Munich) have also won Europe's top club honour.

Jese spent the second half of last season on loan at Las Palmas and, according to Sky Sports Spanish football analyst Guillem Balague: "Jese's progression has stopped in recent years with injuries, and an infection he had while he was recuperating.

"I think he wants to test himself in a place where he will be playing and where he is going to be challenged.

"Four or five years ago, he wanted to win the Ballon d'Or, but those injuries have altered his mentality and physique.

"It's a risk signing him because he needs the love of everybody, but he can play as a centre-forward or a winger, and has talent in abundance.

"I can't wait to see him in the Premier League and see him trying when things don't go his way."
