Goalkeeper David James is to hold talks with Celtic on Monday over a possible move to Parkhead.
The England international's future has remained uncertain since the end of last season when his contract with Portsmouth came to an end.
Pompey were initially keen to keep the 39-year-old but later withdrew their offer of a new deal after he failed to respond before a set deadline.
A number of clubs have since been linked with a move for James, with Sunderland manager Steve Bruce confirming his interest earlier on Saturday.
But James will now fly north on Monday to meet Bhoys boss Neil Lennon, who has been busy rebuilding his squad this summer.
Lennon will hope to persuade James that he should embark on a new challenge in Scotland.
"He's hopefully coming up on Monday to have talks and look at the place and we'll take it from there," Lennon told Sky Sport News.
