Luciano Spalletti could be formally announced as the new Roma Coach tomorrow morning, replacing Rudi Garcia.

The former Zenit boss flew out to Miami today for a meeting with President James Pallotta.

According to Sky Sport Italia, Spalletti has already worked out the details of his arrival and accepted an 18-month contract.

Garcia could therefore be sacked on Wednesday morning and Spalletti announced as his replacement.

Today Garcia and his girlfriend to all intents and purposes confirmed the dismissal was imminent, though he took charge of the two training sessions.

Primavera youth team Coach Alberto De Rossi, the father of midfielder Daniele, is expected to run Wednesday’s morning session.

It is a return to Roma for Spalletti, who was at the helm from 2005 to 2009.

He was the last Coach to win any silverware with the club and came closest to the Scudetto.

“If I go back, it’ll be to finish what I started,” he told friends according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.

We now await the official announcement of his appointment as both parties iron out the last minute details of the deal.
Current coach Rudi Garcia will leave the club after two and a half years at the helm with Primavera coach Alberto De Rossi set to supervise training today. Spalletti is expected at Trigoria tomorrow to meet the players.

現年51歲的魯迪加西亞在2011年任教法甲球隊里爾時，為球隊奪得雙冠王，並於2年後獲羅馬青睞，獲邀擔任紅狼教練至今。

史巴列堤曾於2005至09年領導羅馬兩奪意大利盃冠軍，相隔差不多6年重返前度球會，他說：「我從未忘記在羅馬度過的歲月，這些記憶亦未離開過我的心坎。」

史巴列堤補充：「我為再回來感到興奮，我清楚這個城市、球會及球隊的優勢，能再和這裡的人一起工作，亦令我興奮。我常希望回來，因為羅馬是一個無與倫比的地方。其實我只離開了意大利一年，而我的兒子此前已回來讀書，他是羅馬擁躉，認識球會的一切事情。」
