Some of the world's top footballers will compete to be named as the 2015/16 UEFA Best Player in Europe after the ten-man shortlist was announced today.

A cast of stellar names are in the running for the 2015/16 UEFA Best Player in Europe Award after the ten-man shortlist was announced today.

Journalists from each of UEFA's 55 member associations provided a list of their five best-ranked players, with the first receiving five points, the second four and so on. The ten players with the most points advance to the second vote, which will determine the three finalists to be named on 5 August.

The jury will then cast their votes for the outright winner, which will be announced during the 2016/17 UEFA Champions League group stage draw in Monaco on 25 August. Last year's winner Lionel Messi will be looking to collect his third award after scooping the first in 2011. Other former honourees are Andrés Iniesta (2012), Franck Ribéry (2013) and Cristiano Ronaldo (2014).

The nominees, in alphabetical order, are:

【now.com體育】歐洲足協公佈2015/16球季最佳球員10強候選人，上屆歐聯盟主皇家馬德里，共4人入選。

皇家馬德里上季稱霸歐聯，理所當然成為這份名單的大贏家，有基斯坦奴朗拿度（Cristiano Ronaldo）、比比、加里夫巴利及卻奧斯4人入選，而前兩者今夏更替葡萄牙歷史性首捧歐國盃，當中尤以「萬人迷」C朗奪獎呼聲最高。

不過，葡萄牙國家隊除這兩人外，未有其他球員可入選；反而在4強被主辦國法國踢出局的德國，除卻奧斯外，還有效力拜仁慕尼黑的湯馬士梅拿及紐亞。另外，紐亞不是唯一入選的門將，意大利門神保方，亦榜上有名。

在歐聯兼歐國盃慘做「雙亞王」的基沙文，也是當選熱門之一，還有C朗勁敵、上屆得主美斯，料將一如以往入選最後3甲。

這項選舉由55個歐洲足協成員國的傳媒工作者，投票選出，現從25名候選人中，挑選出10強名單，其後會再選出最後3強，得獎者會在8月尾的歐洲足協周年頒獎禮上公佈。所有英超球員都已提早出局，包括上季助李斯特城奇蹟封王的占美華迪、馬列斯及尼高路簡迪；更令人驚訝的是，效力英冠升班馬韋根的北愛爾蘭前鋒基歷治，在落選眾人中排第25位，排名較保羅普巴、奇雲迪布尼及奧巴美揚等還要前。

"Will Grigg's on Fire"

In May 2016, Wigan Athletic supporter Sean Kennedy uploaded a video to YouTube titled "Will Grigg's on fire", which featured a song written in recognition of the recent goal-scoring feats of Grigg with the chorus to "Will Grigg's on fire, your defence is terrified" sung to the tune of "Freed from Desire" by Italian singer Gala.Since it was uploaded, the song has become a very popular football chant and a national sensation.[60] Kennedy received a free Wigan season ticket from the Wigan chairman David Sharpe for the 2016–17 season as a result of success of the chant.

On 31 May 2016, Electro duo Blonde released a version of the song and entered the Charts and the iTunes top 10 songs.

【now.com體育】歐洲足協周五公佈2015/16賽季歐洲最佳球員獎最後三甲名單，分別由皇家馬德里的基斯坦奴朗拿度、加里夫巴利，以及馬德里體育會前鋒基沙文競逐。球王美斯三甲不入。

歐洲最佳球員獎的10人名單中，皇家馬德里雙雄基斯坦奴朗拿度和加里夫巴利脫穎而出，入選最後三甲之列，而歐國盃最佳球員兼金靴獎得主基沙文，亦同樣入選，將與同市死敵爭奪歐洲最佳的個人榮譽。

去屆得主美斯今年就以25分跌落第5位，其隊友蘇亞雷斯以4分之差排第4，唯一的意大利代表保方則排第6位，其後依次分別是比比、紐亞、卻奧斯及湯馬士梅拿。

歐洲足協（UEFA）沿用去年的規則，邀請55名來自各個成員國的新聞從業員進行投票，選出心目中最佳的5名球員，首名是5分、次名是4分，如此類推。最佳球員獎的最終賽果，將於本月28日在摩納哥舉行的歐聯抽籤儀式上公佈。
