Chelsea are weighing up a late bid for Swansea City's Fernando Llorente, who is interested in playing under Antonio Conte again.

Llorente is still a leading target for Conte and Chelsea are set to offer £15million for the striker before Thursday's deadline.

The Spanish international played under Conte at Juventus and he is understood to be aware that Chelsea are considering the prospect of a renewed move.

Chelsea were frustrated in January after Swansea refused to sell the 32-year-old but Paul Clement, the Welsh club's head coach, is braced for another approach.

Swansea are closing in on Manchester City striker Wilfried Bony and would still be reluctant to sell Llorente, but Conte's pursuit and the lure of Champions League football could prove pivotal.

Llorente is yet to play this season after suffering an arm injury in pre-season, and has been ruled out of Saturday's game at Crystal Palace.

Fernando Llorente: Tottenham complete signing of Swansea striker

Tottenham have completed the signing of Swansea striker Fernando Llorente on a two-year deal for an undisclosed fee.

Premier League champions Chelsea had been close to a reported £15m deal for the 32-year-old, who played under Blues boss Antonio Conte at Juventus.

But the Spaniard has joined Spurs instead, becoming the club's fifth addition of the transfer window.

Llorente joined Swansea in August 2016 and scored 15 goals as the club avoided relegation last season.

The 6ft 4in striker spent nine seasons at Athletic Bilbao, before a trophy-laden two years at Juventus and then a year at Sevilla.

He has scored seven goals in 24 appearances for Spain, winning the 2010 World Cup.

Llorente is Spurs' fifth signing of the summer, with defender Serge Aurier joining from Paris St-Germain for £23m earlier on Thursday.

Forward Vincent Janssen will remain one of Llorente's team-mates after the 23-year-old Netherlands international turned down a loan move to Brighton.

Tottenham are set to beat Chelsea to sign Fernando Llorente and poach the Swansea striker from under the noses of the Premier League champions.
Tottenham registered their interest on Wednesday evening and then made a shock bid just short of £15million on the morning of Deadline Day as Chelsea manager Antonio Conte faces missing out on yet another summer target.
Tottenham's bid was accepted by Swansea this morning and the offer is understood to be higher than Chelsea have previously been willing to go for the striker.
Llorente is undergoing medical tests at Tottenham this afternoon and will sign a two year deal with the option of a further one year extension.
It is a major departure from Tottenham's usual policy of recruiting young player's with resale value under chairman Daniel Levy and manager Mauricio Pochettino.
Yet Tottenham have come in late and will complete a deal as Llorente provides reliable backup for Harry Kane.
It is a major coup for Tottenham who have some long-awaited bragging rights after Chelsea pinched Willian in someone circumstances in 2013.

Janssen loan to Swansea was discussed yesterday as part of Llorente deal but now unlikely due to Bony signing

Fernando Llorente is having a medical at Spurs, with Vincent Janssen expected to join Swansea on loan as part of the deal.

Llorente is at Spurs' training ground after a £15m fee was agreed, though Chelsea are still battling to hijack the Spain international's move.

Janssen could go the other way to Swansea, despite the Welsh club finally agreeing a fee for Wilfried Bony.
