Leicester have sacked Craig Shakespeare after a dismal start to the season at the King Power.

The Foxes are in the bottom three after just one win from their opening eight Premier League games.

Monday night's 1-1 draw at home to West Brom was the final straw for Leicester chiefs.

Shakespeare landed the Foxes job on a full-time basis following a successful spell in caretaker charge following the dismissal of Claudio Ranieri.

However, he has followed Ranieri out of the door, according to the Leicester Mercury.

Shakespeare leaves the King Power after 26 games at the helm.

Leicester have won 11 games since Shakespeare took over from Ranieri in February, drawing six and losing the other nine.

雲尼亞里（Claudio Ranieri）於2015/16球季帶領李斯特城童話式捧走英超冠軍，可是翌季因為成績低迷已被炒。繼任人沙士比亞早前亦被辭退，意大利傳媒Corriere dello Sport就爆料，指李城找過雲帥回歸，但後者面對無情的李城，只簡單地回覆：「不了，謝謝。」

雖然Corriere dello Sport未有表示有關消息是從那裡得知，但現時執教法甲南特的雲尼亞里，最近的確曾接受他們的專訪，只是出街的內容，沒有任何一項是關於李城。

雲尼亞里在訪問中提及其前球會車路士今季的表現，指車仔戰績平平的主因是換了前鋒，由迪亞高哥斯達換上了艾華路莫拉達：「這個轉變不容易，DC是一名領袖，可以肩負起球隊，用憤怒去踢球，而莫拉達就只是一名運球者。當你換前鋒，就整套踢法都要換。」

Leicester are prepared to wait for a big name to become their new manager.

The club's owner Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha wants to make a high-profile appointment to replace Craig Shakespeare after his sacking on Monday, but it is understood no immediate successor has been lined up.

Former AC Milan, Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich boss Carlo Ancelotti is the stature of boss the Foxes are looking for, but he is likely to want a bigger job after recently being fired by the Bundesliga champions.

Ex-Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini, a former Leicester player, has distanced himself from the running.

Also clubless Sam Allardyce is interested in the vacant USA national-team job and does not want to jump back into another relegation fight having saved Sunderland and Crystal Palace from the drop in the past two seasons.

Wales boss Chris Coleman is among the bookies’ favourites after their failure to reach the World Cup qualification play-offs next month.

Leicester interviewed Roy Hodgson, Ryan Giggs and Martin O’Neill before giving last season's caretaker boss Shakespeare the job permanently in the summer.

Burnley's Sean Dyche could be tempted if it is seen as a step up, but the Foxes have got designs on looking abroad first.

Huddersfield’s David Wagner could be another domestic option, after steering the Yorkshiremen to promotion from the Championship last season.

Leicester had reservations about giving Shakespeare the job permanently despite his impressive run after stepping up from No2 in February to replace sacked title-winner Claudio Ranieri, who is now enjoying a brilliant return to form with French club Nantes.

Shakespeare's right-hand man Michael Appleton will take charge for the trip to Swansea on Sunday but is not in the frame to get the job full-time.

Leicester City are weighing up an official approach for Burnley manager Sean Dyche after drawing up an ambitious list of targets.

Dyche is understood to have been identified as a potential contender when the club’s board held talks on Wednesday following the dismissal of Craig Shakespeare.
