Bayern Munich have made Leroy Sané their No 1 transfer target this summer and are preparing a bid of around £70m for the 23-year-old Germany international.

The winger, who has been in and out of the City starting line-up this season, is believed to be keen on a move back to Germany, having arrived in England from Schalke in 2016.

Bayern, who won the Bundesliga for a seventh successive time last weekend, will lose two long-serving wide players in Arjen Robben and Franck Ribéry this summer and are looking to rejuvenate an ageing squad.

The German champions have already spent almost £100m on French defenders Lucas Hernandez and Benjamin Pavard, while teenage Canadian winger Alphonso Davies has made only brief substitute appearances since joining in January.

Leroy Sane says Bayern Munich is a "great club with big goals" after he signed a five-year contract at the Bundesliga side.

The Germany winger, 24, has joined from Manchester City for an initial fee of about £44.7m that could rise to £54.8m.

拜仁慕尼黑在今次與曼城的交易，並沒有提及轉會費等細節，但據英國天空體育報道是次轉會費高達5997萬歐元，而德國《圖片報》亦指轉會費不少於5000萬歐元。辛尼（Leroy Sane）落實加盟後表示：「拜仁這間大球會素來劍指大目標，此舉和我不謀而合，希望能夠與拜仁一起贏得更多獎盃，而歐聯錦標更是重中之重。」他將會繼續用在曼城時的同一號碼，即19號。

Manchester City have agreed to sell winger Leroy Sane to Bayern Munich in a deal that could earn them £54.8m.

The Germany international will join the Bundesliga champions for an initial fee of about £44.7m, with add-ons which could increase it by more than £10m.

Sane, 24, joined City from Schalke in 2016 for £37m and has claimed two Premier League titles with the club.

He was a key part of the team that won a domestic treble last year, but has been injured for much of this season.

City manager Pep Guardiola said last week that Sane, whose present deal was due to expire at the end of next season, had refused the offer of a new contract and wanted to leave.

It is understood City were unwilling to get close to the estimated £20m annual salary Sane will receive from Bayern.

City have negotiated a 10% sell-on clause, with the fee representing their largest ever outgoing transfer deal.

The player is now set to travel to Germany in the next 24 hours to complete the transfer.

Although he cannot play for Bayern in the Champions League this season, it is understood he will not return to City and has played his final game for the club.

The Premier League club did have the option of keeping him for the final year of his contract, they felt it would have been counter-productive under the circumstances.

Quite apart from the player's desire to leave, and potentially do so for nothing in 12 months' time, Sane is yet to prove his fitness after suffering a major knee injury during the Community Shield in August.

City also believe they have are plenty of strength in wide positions, with Phil Foden, Riyad Mahrez, Bernardo Silva and Raheem Sterling all options.

Sane has been in the matchday squad for all four City games since the season resumed earlier this month.

However, his only appearance was for 11 minutes as a substitute in the 5-0 win against Burnley last Monday.

Sane departs the Etihad having made 192 appearances for City, scoring 52 goals.

Leroy Sane wants to leave Manchester City, says manager Pep Guardiola.

City have been trying to persuade the 24-year-old Germany winger to sign an extension to his contract, which expires in 2021.

But Sane, who has been linked with Bayern Munich for the past 12 months, has rejected several offers.

"He wants to join another club," said Guardiola. "I don't know if he will leave this summer or next summer when his contract expires."

Sane joined City from Schalke for £37m on a five-year deal in 2016.

He has not played for the club since suffering cruciate ligament damage during the Community Shield in August.

Guardiola said City had spoken to Sane "two or three times" about a new deal, and added: "When we make an offer to a player it's because we want him.

"He has special quality. We want players who want to play with the club to achieve targets.

"He is a nice guy and I love him so much. I have nothing against - but he wants another adventure."
