Installous will now terminate – Outdated version On January 1, 2013 · 
The Hackoulous team has shut down the popular piracy app Installous. The abrupt move that has left many wondering why the website and app were terminated. According to the people behind Hackulous their forums have become a ghost town and it’s become difficult to keep them online and moderated. There are likely other reasons for the sudden end to the most popular piracy app on iOS devices.

It has become difficult to keep them online and well-moderated, despite the devotion of our staff. We’re incredibly thankful for the support we’ve had over the years and hope that new, greater communities blossom out of our absence.

When people try to use Installous, they will quickly be greeted with the message “Outdated Version, Installous will now terminate.” Although, some users have found a temporary solution to get around the message by turning off 3G or WiFi, open Installous and turn 3G 0r Wi-Fi back on.
Will this put an end to piracy of iOS apps? That’s not likely. I have not tried it and do not recommend it, but there’s another popular piracy app called App Cake. So, people that are dead set on pirating apps will find other solutions. Using these apps to download apps without paying for them is illegal and your safest solution is to download your apps only through Apple’s App Store
