Agent: Di Natale to Juve tonight!

“Tonight we’ll know if Antonio Di Natale is going to Juventus,” announced the Udinese Capocannoniere’s agent.

In a shock turnaround, the Bianconeri have reportedly agreed a deal for the man who topped the scorers’ charts in Serie A last season.


“If tonight Di Natale is at the official presentation of the Udinese side to its fans, then it’ll mean he is staying there,” Bruno Carpeggiani told Tuttomercatoweb.


“If not, then I really think we can conclude this deal with Juve. Is it worth ?7m? More or less.


“It all depends on Juve, it was an incredibly quick negotiation process. For the moment I think it’s still all up in the air, but within three hours we’ll have the truth on this matter.


“Tonight we’ll know if Di Natale is going to Juventus.”


Director general Beppe Marotta had said they were looking for a striker before the summer transfer session ends.


Di Natale would be the second arrival from Udinese after Simone Pepe moved on loan with an option to buy.


This might also explain the sudden rumours that Diego’s move to Wolfsburg is back on the cards for ?20m.

Liverpool and Spaniards 'want Trez' Monday 23 August, 2010

It’s all go at Juventus this evening, as David Trezeguet’s agent confirms interest from Liverpool, Zaragoza and tiny Spanish side Hercules.

The Bianconeri are in advanced negotiations to bring Udinese striker Antonio Di Natale in for ?7m.


Some sources suggest the man to make way is Diego, following a new ?20m bid from Wolfsburg, but others claim Trez will leave Turin.


“It’s certain that Liverpool are interested in him, but they aren’t the only club,” agent Antonio Caliendo told Catalan newspaper ‘Sport.’


“Real Zaragoza and Hercules also want David. We are evaluating the options and within a few days will make a decision.”


According to Sky Sport Italia, the favourite is set to be Hercules, who have just been promoted to the Spanish Primera Liga.


The choice would be based on their position, as Trezeguet’s wife is originally from Alicante, the city that hosts Hercules.


Trezeguet was notably absent from training today, where the first team played its traditional friendly against the Primavera youth side.

Udinese confirm “Juventus are interested in Antonio Di Natale,” but the player is determined. “I want to end my career in Udine,” he told fans.

The shock transfer came out of nowhere this evening with his agent declaring lightning talks were close to a ?7m deal.


It’s also reported the 32-year-old would be offered a three-season contract worth ?2m a year.


“Juventus are interested in Di Natale,” confirmed President Franco Soldati ahead of tonight’s presentation.


The fans were out in force in the town square to see the new team for 2010-11 and Di Natale spoke out.


“I don’t know anything about this. I want to stay in Udine, where I’m happy and I want to end my career.


“I have been here for seven years and I want to stay here. I don’t know anything about transfer negotiations. I'm staying here. I'm staying here!”


Club owner Giampaolo Pozzo seems to back up this version of events.


“It’s no different to last season, when there was interest from Napoli and an overseas side. But Di Natale said no.


“If there had been an imminent departure, we certainly wouldn’t have organised this celebration tonight.”
