GAEL CLICHY CONTRACT TALKS ON HOLD
Arsenal full-back Gael Clichy says he will wait until the end of the season before discussing a new contract at Emirates Stadium.
Clichy's current deal expires in 2012 and the France international has been a mainstay of Arsene Wenger's side in recent seasons.
He has made in excess of 250 appearances for the Gunners, but he is happy to wait to hold talks over a contract extension during the club's battle for success.
"Will I prolong my contract? I don't know and I don't think about it," Clichy told L'Equipe.
"The season is still long. I will have time to think about it in the summer."
The 25-year-old is also feeling confident ahead of the second leg of Arsenal's UEFA Champions League last-16 tie against Barcelona following last month's 2-1 home win.
Though Clichy was impressed with the 2009 winners at Emirates Stadium, he believes Arsenal now possess a different mindset since beating Premier League champions Chelsea at Christmas.
He added: "I have watched the first leg against Barcelona again three or four times. I am rarely impressed by a team but this time Barcelona got 60 per cent possession on our pitch.
"It is huge. We suffered but we could resist.
"Something happened against Chelsea. Since that match we are not the same team anymore.
"Everyone makes an effort, so it is a little easier on defenders. In the past, sometimes two or three players could give up. At such a level, it is not possible.
"What will happen at Camp Nou? We will qualify and I will score! It would be nice.
"We will give our very best. Arsene Wenger has often told us there is no better team than ours."
