Chelsea eyeing Real Madrid winger Pedro Leon – report

Still in search of additional attacking talent, Chelsea are to turn to rarely-used Real Madrid winger Pedro Leon as a possible solution to their offensive problems, according to a Friday night report from Spanish radio station Cadena Ser.
Having seen reputed advances for Liverpool’s Fernando Torres and Atletico Madrid’s Sergio Aguero run into problems, the Blues are apparently looking across the Spanish capital to the 24-year-old.
Snapped up by los Blancos in the summer after a stellar season with Getafe, Pedro Leon has barely played since joining the Bernabeu club. In total, the former Spain Under-21 international has made only 13 appearances for Jose Mourinho’s side, scoring two goals in the process.
Though the wideman has been unimpressive this term, he was one of the stars of the Primera Division last season and won widespread critical acclaim for his performances in Madrid’s southern suburbs with el Geta.
Chelsea reportedly envisage a loan deal with a purchase option, which would seem entirely possible given the attacking player’s present lack of action.
