Man City close on £60m signing of Monaco star Bernardo Silva



Manchester City are set to splash a club record fee of £60million on Portuguese midfielder Bernardo Silva.

The 22-year-old former Benfica player was part of the Monaco team who defeated City in the Champions League this season.

Silva, who has 12 caps for Portugal, helped a young Monaco side lift the Ligue 1 trophy this season.

The player has already arrived in Manchester and is expected to undergo a medical before signing a deal with the club.

Silva is a versatile player and can operate anywhere across the the attacking midfield areas, something that has attracted Pep Guardiola. He's particularly noted for his dribbling ability and will provide great competition at the Etihad.
