Lazio Deny Deal With Manchester City For Left-Back Aleksander Kolarov
Italian club want Citizens to meet asking price...Lazio president Claudio Lotito has revealed that his club are yet to receive a written offer from Manchester City for left-back Aleksander Kolarov.
Reports had suggested that City were close to concluding a deal for the defender, but Lotito maintains that there is no deal in place for the 24-year-old.
"Right now Aleksandar is a Lazio player and there is no agreement with Manchester City because I have not received a written offer," he told reporters.Reports in the Italian press have indicated that there is some disagreement between the clubs regarding the size of the fee for the player.
Lazio are said to be demanding around £19 million (?22.5m) for the player, whilst City are willing to pay £15.2m (?18m).
"Until an offer arrives we cannot discuss if there is a disagreement between the two parties (Lazio and Manchester City)," Lotito added.
However, Lazio coach Edy Reja has insisted that the player will leave the Roman outfit soon though.
"His (Kolarov's) transfer will happen soon," he said.
"We are closely monitoring what is happening."
