Kolarov set for £17m Man City switch
Manchester City are on the verge of signing Serbia left back Aleksandar Kolarov after Lazio accepted a £17 million bid for the 24-year-old free-kick specialist.
Kolarov started two of Serbia's World Cup matches in South Africa and is one of the most highly sought-after defenders in Europe this summer, with Real Madrid in particular linked with a big-money move for the player.
City have already secured David Silva, Yaya Toure and Jerome Boateng in their latest spending spree and have been heavily linked with James Milner and Edin Dzeko as well, meaning their summer spending will almost certainly break through the £100 million barrier.
Kolarov would likely take the place of Wayne Bridge in City's starting XI as manager Roberto Mancini seeks to build a team capable of challenging for the Premier League title.
