- La Liga club Sevilla are keen to take the Spain international on loan next season
- Man City are only willing to allow Nolito leave on a permanent deal this summer
Manchester City are insisting they only want to sell Nolito amid claims Sevilla are close to agreeing a loan move for the striker.Sportsmail reported earlier this month that City value the 30-year-old at £10million after fending off competition from Barcelona to sign him last summer. He is under contract until 2020.
'When you talk about top players you can't say that the deal is done but it's true that we have taken a step forward for Nolito to play at Sevilla,' club president Jose Castro told Cadena Ser Radio Sevilla.
'I think we are getting closer to reaching an understanding to see a player of Nolito's calibre play here after Manchester City paid ?18 million for him last summer.'Spanish media believe Sevilla have proposed a loan with view to a £7m purchase option. However, City do not want to loan him and are pushing for a fee to be agreed up front.Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas has confirmed talks with Manchester City over the prospective purchase of Eliaquim Mangala.
'Eliaquim Mangala is among our options,' Aulas said. 'He came to meet us. It is proof of a clear interest when a player takes the initiative to come and see the president of a club in which he wants to play.
