QUEENS Park Rangers Football Club is delighted to announce the signing of double Champions League winner Jose Bosingwa.
The 29 year-old, who arrives on a free transfer following his releasefrom Chelsea, has penned a three-year deal at Loftus Road and becomesMark Hughes’s eighth summer signing.
Speaking exclusively to
www.qpr.co.uk, Hughes revealed his delight,commenting: “I am delighted to bring a player of his undoubted qualityto the club. He has got plenty of pace, great technical ability and allthe attributes you need to be a top player.
“Jose has a lot of versatility which is something I like my players tohave. He can operate right across the back and can also play the holdingrole in midfield.
“He’s another Champions League winner, the third in the squad now withJi-Sung Park and Djibril Cisse, and will add invaluable experience tothe group.
“His experience is really important to us. He understands the PremierLeague and he understands what it takes to win games. He has got awinning mentality and that is what I want to have around the place.”
Bosingwa’s first taste of Champions League success arrived with Porto in2004, before the versatile defender tasted further glory with Chelsealast season.
His overall medal haul includes an impressive 15 trophies, includingfour Portuguese league titles, one Premier League title and three FA Cupsuccesses.
