Reid moves to Blackpool
Steve Bruce has concluded another piece of January business.
Winger Andy Reid has joined Barclays Premier League side Blackpool for an undisclosed fee.
The 28-year-old Eire international joined Sunderland from Charlton for £4m in January 2008 and made a total of 70 appearances for the club, scoring six goals.
He had a spell on loan at Npower Championship side Sheffield United earlier in the current campaign, netting twice in nine appearances.
Reid is the fourth player to exit the Stadium of Light in the January transfer window after Paulo Da Silva (Zaragoza), Darren Bent (Aston Villa) and David Healy (Rangers).
The midfielder began his career at Nottingham Forest, making 160 appearances for the City Ground outfit.
He joined Spurs for £4m in January 2005 and later had a spell at Charlton before moving to Sunderland.
