Gameweek 2 Bugs: Update from the team Many of you picked up on the fact we had some issues with player prices again last Saturday, and we want to be open and honest with you and try and explain why and what we’ve done to resolve this problem. As many of you know, in previous years we have introduced new players into the game at ‘base' average price, and let our player pricing algorithm grow price based on performance. Due to popular demand, we wanted to change that this year and introduce players at a more realistic price. Unfortunately, this manual intervention didn’t quite work as we’d have liked and hence certain players (Fabregas) fluctuated wildly on game weekend.
We’ve resolved this bug with some historical stat automation, and to be consistent with what we’ve done to date we’ll continue to insert new players at a price we think is fair - Balotelli in at £11.58M a good example – but now with a high level of confidence the wild price fluctuations are firmly behind us.
This week we have released lots of new data for you to sort your player research by, including average points per game, and we are about to release Friend’s team view (ability view other user’s team) in the next couple of days.
