The Indiana Pacers have agreed to trade swingman Brandon Rush to the Golden State Warriors in exchange for forward Lou Amundson, the Indianapolis Star reported Sunday.
The deal is expected to be finalized on Monday.
The Pacers have been trying to move Rush for a few years, and they found a willing trade partner in the Warriors.
The 29-year-old Amundson played in 46 games for the Warriors last season, including seven starting assignments, and he averaged 4.3 points and 4.0 rebounds.
The 6-6 Rush, 26, played in 67 games for the Pacers last season, and started 21 of them. He averaged 12.5 points and 4.5 rebounds in 2010-2011.
Amundson helps in the frontcourt for the Pacers.
Jeff Pendergraph isn't expect to play before the start of the regular season because of a knee problem, and the Pacers don't want 34-year-old Jeff Foster to play a lot of minutes early in the season.
