Sir Alex Ferguson Rejects The Chance To Bring Carlos Tevez Back To Manchester United - Report
Manchester United have been approached by Manchester City with the opportunity to buy Carlos Tevez.
A party close to Tevez made an enquiry to United regarding a potential transfer for the striker, however, the approach was picked up by Sir Alex Ferguson and sources close to the club insist there is no chance of the Argentine returning to Old Trafford.
Tevez, who departed United in 2009, has requested a transfer from City, which would have alerted the majority of Europe’s top clubs.
The striker is in line to return against Everton in a match that has the potential to take City to the top of the table, and manager Roberto Mancini has said he has no qualms with selecting Tevez.
City, meanwhile, still insist the heart of the player’s desire to leave stems from his advisor, Kia Joorabchian, and maintain the belief the Argentine has no issues with the club, its manager or its players.
City have also rejected the striker’s transfer request and reiterate their expectation to keep him until the end of the season, although Tevez may well be stripped of his captaincy following his desire to leave the club.
