Tottenham have signed Heung-Min Son from Bayer Leverkusen subject to the forward receiving a work permit.Son netted 11 goals for Bayer Leverkusen in the Bundesliga last season and will reportedly wear the No 7 shirt at White Hart Lane.
The 23-year-old has also played for German club Hamburg while collecting more than 40 caps for the South Korea senior team.
He made his international debut in 2010 and went on to play at the 2014 World Cup Finals in Brazil where he scored against Algeria.
According to Sky sources the fee paid by Spurs was around £18m, with Son signing a five-year-deal in north London.
He scored 29 times in 87 appearances for Bayer who he joined in 2013 and, during last season's Champions League, found the back of the net three times.
Son's decision to move to the Premier League probably ends Tottenham's pursuit of West Brom striker Saido Berahino.The Baggies twice rejected offers for Berahino from Spurs who have now signed Son.
Son told Tottenham's official Twitter feed: "I'm looking forward to going there and performing for the Spurs fans as soon as possible.
"I learned the game under my father who was a football coach in my school.
"I've trained with both feet so I can use them freely. Bold and daring - this is how I like to try to play."
Meanwhile Leverkusen have signed Slovenia international Kevin Kampl from Borussia Dortmund as a replacement for Son.
