Leverkusen's Son Heung-min having Tottenham medical - reports
Bayer Leverkusen winger Son Heung-min is in London to complete a ?30 million move to join Tottenham Hotspur, according to German media reports. Son, 23, was set to take part in Leverkusen's Champions League playoff second leg with Lazio, but
already on Tuesday missed Bayer's final training session ahead of the match at the Bay-Arena. Local newspaper Kolner Stadtanzeiger and national football magazine kicker both reported on Wednesday that the South Korea international has already travelled to the English capital, where he will undergo a medical ahead of the transfer, which is believed to be worth ?30m. A spokesperson for Leverkusen, who are behind in the tie with Lazio following last week's 1-0 defeat in Rome, told Kolner Stadtanzeiger on Wednesday:
"That is not currently our agenda -- we are preparing for our most important game of the season."
Son came through the ranks of Hamburg's youth academy, which he joined aged 16 in 2008. Following three years at the Bundesliga stalwarts, he moved on to Bayer Leverkusen in 2013 for a reported ?10m.
The winger, who can also play in a more central role, has played in 62 Bundesliga games for Leverkusen and has scored 21 goals. He has also struck five goals in 19 Champions League appearances for the Bundesliga club.
Tottenham are likely to have a space in their squad for an attacking midfielder as Erik Lamela's father and agent has confirmed the Argentina international is in talks with Inter Milan.
