Out-of-favour winger will be given chance to resurrect
career elsewhere
Lazar Markovic is available for loan as Liverpool consider offers prior to next week's transfer deadline. The Serbian winger has been unable to force his way into Jurgen Klopp's plans following his return to the club this summer.Markovic spent the 2015-16 campaign at Fenerbahce but his progress was hampered by hamstring issues. The 22-year-old featured for Klopp's side in the pre-season friendlies but hasn't made the matchday squad in the opening three matches.
With no European football on offer this season, Liverpool believe Markovic would benefit from getting regular game time elsewhere rather than staying at Anfield.
AC Milan hold an interest in Markovic, who has previously been linked with Sporting Lisbon and Schalke.
Markovic joined Liverpool from Benfica for £20million two years ago but struggled to justify that price tag. He scored three goals in 34 appearances before leaving for Fenerbahce.
Mamadou Sakho and Mario Balotelli are mulling over potential moves away from Liverpool.
Sakho is wanted on loan by Stoke City, while Balotelli could complete a permanent switch to Nice.
The Italian striker held talks with officials from the Ligue One outfit on Friday.
