Athletic Bilbao have announced Marcelo Bielsa as the club's coach for the new season.The news comes in the wake of Josu Urrutia winning Athletic's elections against Fernando Macua, who was running for a second term, by 2.261 votes.
Bielsa, who replaces Joaquin Caparros at the helm of the club, last coached Chile from 2007 through to February 2011.
The former Argentina boss reportedly passed up the chance to succeed Leonardo at Inter and will now have the task of guiding a team which finished sixth in La Liga last season.
