The 26-year-old completed the switch from Newcastle for an undisclosed fee and is the Swans' second deal in a matter of days after Leroy Lita joined from Middlesbrough.
Routledge is manager Brendan Rodgers' fifth summer signing and could make his debut on Saturday against Real Betis at the Liberty Stadium.
