Robbie Fowler hoping to earn Blackpool contract Former Liverpool and England striker Robbie Fowler has trained with Blackpool with a view to joining until the end of the season.
The 36-year-old approached Tangerines boss Ian Holloway this week and could make his debut on Friday evening against Hull.
Fowler left British football in 2008 after a spell with Cardiff and has since played in Australia and Thailand.
He is the fourth highest scorer in Premier League history with 163 goals.
