EXCLUSIVE: Dalglish sacked! Liverpool legend given the boot by American ownersKenny Dalglish has paid the price for Liverpool's disastrous Barclays Premier League campaign after the Anfield legend was sensationally axed by the club's American owners.
Dalglish, who guided Liverpool to Carling Cup glory but oversaw their FA Cup final defeat to Chelsea at Wembley this season, has been shown the door by the club's Fenway Sports Group owners, just two days after holding a showdown summit with main men John W Henry and Tom Werner.
Dalglish arrived back in Merseyside on Wednesday and was expected toleave the UK again to go on holiday with his wife - although those plans have been put on hold following his sacking.
The 61-year-old only returned to the Liverpool hotseat in January 2011 after replacing axed boss Roy Hodgson.

Former Chelsea manager
Andre Villas-Boas, Wigan's Roberto Martinez and former boss Rafa Benitez are all in the running to succeed Dalglish in charge of the club.Read more:
