Real Madrid have announced on their official website that they have successfully concluded contract negotiations with Jose Mourinho. The Portuguese coach has signed a new deal that will keep him at the club until 2016.
The flamboyant trainer's previous agreement was due to expire in the summer of 2014, and Mourinho has now ended all speculation about his future by inking a two-year extension to his existing deal.
Mourinho joined Real Madrid from Inter in the summer of 2010, and guided Los Blancos to Copa del Rey glory in his first season at the club.
The former Porto and Chelsea boss steered Madrid to their first Liga title since 2007-08 this term as they collected a record-breaking 100 points from 38 games to dethrone arch-rivals Barcelona as Spanish champions.
Mourinho is the first coach in history to win league titles in Portugal, England, Italy and Spain.
