Paris Saint-Germain FC and São Paulo today signed a definitive agreement for the transfer of Lucas Moura Da Silva Rodriguez.

The player and Paris Saint-Germain have also signed an agreement from January 2013 to June 2017.

Lucas will join Paris Saint-Germain and his new teammates in January 2013 for the second part of season 2012/2013.

By recruiting young talent in the quality of Lucas Moura Da Silva Rodriguez, Paris Saint-Germain is also preparing the future.

United close on Lucas deal


Sky Sports understands Manchester United are poised to win the race for Brazilian winger Lucas Moura.


    
United have been chasing the Sao Paulo winger all summer and have already seen one bid rejected for the 19-year-old.


The likes of Inter Milan, Paris Saint Germain and Real Madrid have all been credited with an interest in Moura, but it appears United are in pole position to land the highly-rated starlet.
A fee is believed to have been agreed between United and Sao Paulo and the Old Trafford outfit have been given the green light to hold talks with the player.


Sir Alex Fergusonremained behind from United's pre-season trip to Norway for Sunday'sfriendly with Valerenga with the reason for his absence thought to be topush through a deal for Moura.
Should United clinch the signing it would be a massive boost forFerguson as the wide-man is regarded as one of the brightest youngtalents to emerge from Brazil in recent years.


Moura is currently on Olympics duty with Brazil and is expected tofeature for Brazil in their semi-final against South Korea at OldTrafford on Tuesday.

According to reports in Globo Esporte in Brazil, it looks like Paris St Germain are going to beat Manchester United to the signing of Lucas Moura after Sir Alex Ferguson failed to convince the midfielder not to head to France. PSG have reportedly offered Sao Paulo more than United for the midfielder, who was apparently told by people that Manchester is a 'boring city'. A medical with PSG is expected to take place on 15th August and Lucas will join the French club in January if they are unable to solve their issue regarding the lack of a spot for a non-EU player.
