VillarrealCF signs Walter Pandiani Villarreal CF has come to an agreement withWalter Pandiani for him to play with the Submarines during this season. Aftercompleting the standard physical examination, the striker has signed his newcontract and will be presented to the fans tomorrow during an open event at the"Entrelíneas" Restaurant (12.30 pm). This restaurant is attached toEl Madrigal stadium and is one of the club's most popular meeting points forevents. After the event, all the attendees will join the classic sweepstakesand will be able to win two of Pandiani's official jerseys.
The veteran striker started his career inthe Basañez club to move to Peñarol in 1998. After two years in Montevideo,Pandiani signed for Deportivo de la Coruña and was transfered to Spain. Heplayed for the Blue and Whites during two seasons (00-02), was loaned toMallorca for a year (02-03) and came back to Deportivo after scoring 14 goals.He played another two years for Deportivo (03-05).
He was loaned to Birmingham City in thelast part of the 04-05 season, to finally sign with the English club in the05-06. During the same season he was loaned to Espanyol, playing with theCatalan team during 06-07. In 07-08 season he was transfered to Osasuna andplayed for the Red and Blacks during 4 seasons. In 11-12 he returned toEspanyol, signing for one season.
