Arsenal target Samir Handanovic is being lined up for a move to Barcelona next summer.
The Inter Milan goalkeeper has been linked with both the Spanish giants and Arsene Wenger's side after a superb first season at the San Siro.
But it seems certain he will not leave this summer after Inter took up their option to purchase the remainder of his contract from Udinese last week, the Slovenian originally moving to Inter on a co-ownership deal.
That is only delaying the inevitable, though, with Handanovic wanted by Barcelona in a year's time.
Their current number one, Victor Valdes, is likely to leave next summer when his contract expires - creating a vacancy at one of the biggest clubs in the world.
And if Barca meet Inter's asking price, it appears Handanovic will move to the Nou Camp rather than the Emirates.
