Arsenal target Jese Rodriguez has hit out at Jose Mourinho for not giving him enough chances last season - but insists he wants to stay at Real Madrid.
The youngster broke the record for goals scored in Real Madrid's 'Castilla' or youth side last season, but was not given a place in Mourinho's senior side.
That led to the 20-year-old being linked with Arsenal, but he insists he will stay at the Bernabeu and fight for his place next season.
But Jese has hit out at Mourinho for not giving him an opportunity.
"Those who understand football will know that we deserved more opportunities under Mou," he told AS during an interview on FIFA Under-20 World Cup duty.
"That was clear to see. But if the first team coach doesn't see it that way or has other ideas, we have to respect it.
"The future looks bright to me. Real Madrid's president doesn't want me to leave and he wants me to stay. I too also want to continue playing for Real Madrid.
"I think for everything I have done so far, I hope I have showed that I don't need to go to another league and that I am capable of playing at my club, at Madrid."
