Manchester City defender Micah Richards is yet to receive an approach from Inter Milan, but his Italian agent believes a move may be in the pipeline.
Reports in Italy claim that the Nerazzurri have earmarked Richards as a key target as they look to rebuild their defence ahead of the 2013-14 season.
Inter coach Walter Mazzarri is a long-time admirer of Richards, and is keen to add the 25-year-old England international's experience to his squad.
Richards is in the middle of fresh contract negotiations with City and has hinted that he would happily end his career at the Etihad, but no agreement has yet been reached - prompting increased speculation that he could be heading to the San Siro.
"I personally have not been contacted by the Nerazzurri but it is possible that Inter are interested because I know for a fact that Mazzarri really likes him," Dario Canovi told interlive.it.
"He wanted Micah when he was at Napoli, he is an ideal player for his defence and would not fit well into Rafa Benitez's game [at Napoli].
"What is Richards' situation at Manchester City? They have offered a new contract, but Richards has not accepted as yet."
