FC Porto have signed their second Mexican international this summer withPachuca CF's Héctor Herrera joining compatriot Diego Reyes at thePortuguese champions.
The 23-year-old has penned a four-year deal in a transfer that hascost Porto around ?8m for 80% of the player rights. "I have fulfilled adream in coming to a big club in Europe," said Herrera, who has eightcaps and a release clause of ?40m. "I've always had this goal and Portogave me this opportunity."
Herrera was a member of the Mexico sidethat won gold at the London Olympics in 2012 alongside Diego Reyes –Porto's first signing ahead of the 2013/14 season – and played once forhis country in the FIFA Confederations Cup in Brazil this month.
Porto, now coached by Paulo Fonseca, will start their European campaign in the UEFA Champions League group stage.
