Swansea City have today completed the signing of promising Real Betis midfielder Alejandro Pozuelo on a three-year deal.
Pozuelo saw his contract expire with the La Liga club, but the Swanshave agreed an undisclosed transfer fee which means he becomes the thirdSpaniard to join the club this week following the arrivals of hisformer Betis team-mate Jose Canas and Espanyol defender Jordi Amat.
The 21-year-old attacking midfielder, who made 11 league appearances inLa Liga last season, will add further flair to Michael Laudrup’s squad.
After meeting his new team-mates for the first time today ahead of the pre-season tour of Holland, he can’t wait to get started.
“I am very happy to have joined Swansea City. Since I’ve been a littleboy it has been my dream to play in the Premier League,” said Pozuelo, who takes the club’s tally of Spaniards up to seven.
“From the moment I heard of the interest from Swansea I have watched their games and followed the news at the club.
“The style of the team suits me, and so too does the style of the manager.
“Of course, there are a lot of Spanish players here including my oldBetis team-mate Jose Canas, and that will help me to settle quickly.
“I am looking to improve my English immediately as I want to communicatebetter with my team-mates. On the pitch I just want to give everything Ihave to the club in order to help the team this season.”
