CITY are delighted to confirm the signing of Dutchinternational midfielder Leroy Fer from FC Twente on a four-year dealfor an undisclosed fee, subject to international clearance.
Fer, 23, becomes Chris Hughton’s sixth summer signing, with Javier Garrido, Ricky Van Wolfswinkel, Nathan Redmond, Martin Olsson and CarloNash having already put pen to paper as the Canaries prepare for the2013-14 Barclays Premier League campaign.
The 6ft 2in midfield powerhouse started his career at Feyenoord, wherehe scored 14 goals in 103 appearances before moving to FC Twente in2011. He has made 71 appearances and scored 21 times for Twente.
On the international scene, Fer captained Holland at Under-17 level andwent on to play at Under-19 level before progressing to the Under-21side, where he had a successful impact in the 2013 UEFA EuropeanUnder-21 Championship Finals in Israel this summer.
He has made two full international appearances for his country.
