Palace close to sealing £2m signing of Spanish wonderkid Campana from Sevilla


Crystal Palace will sign Spanish wonderkid Jose Campana from Sevilla this week.

The Barclays Premier League new boys hope to clinch the signing when Spain's Under 20 captain arrives in London for a medical this week.

Campana, 20, is one of the biggest prospects in Spanish football and his immediate future is at Selhurst Park.

Spaniard Jose Campana could represent a real coup for Crystal Palace


The midfielder, noted for his neat touches and one-touch passing, will fly in to London this week after Palace agreed a fee with Sevilla for around £2m, plus a sell-on fee for the player.

Campana's fledgling career has been affected by niggling injuries, but he is over them now and played a full part at the Under-20 World Cup.


But the midfielder has suffered from injury problems in the past


He was part of the Spain Under-20 squad that competed at the World Cup in Turkey, losing the quarter-final against Uruguay after extra-time.

Palace have already held talks with him and convinced the talented youngster that his future is in south London.
