ARSENAL could be about to offload Nicklas Bendtner to Malaga but want to get defender Jesus Gamez back as part of any deal.

Reports in Denmark suggest Bendtner is closing in on a switch to southern Spain, but it was Arsenal who initiated talks after identifying right-back Jesus Gamez as a target.

According to BT.dk Arsenal will offer £1.5m plus Bendtner for the 28-year-old defender.

Jesus Gamez has played his whole career at Malaga


Bendtner was linked with Malaga earlier in the summer, only for the player's wage demands to scupper any deal.

Malaga are thought to only be able to offer Bendtner half the wages he was on at the Emirates, but the Gunners are apparently ready to top up that figure if a deal can be struck for Gamez.

Nicklas Bendtner was on loan at Juventus last term

Malaga coach Bernd Schuster is on record as saying he needs a new striker and would like to bring in Bendtner, with negotiations over the player set to continue.

Schuster said: "An agreement with Bendtner has so far been impossible. For him, he wanted to continue on a very high salary, where our focus has been more on getting him back to his top level."

He added: "We still need a striker, but who it is and whether it can be done, I can not say anything about right now."

Gamez would provide competition for Bacary Sagna and Carl Jenkinson at the right-back position for Arsenal.

Gamez, a former Spain under-23 international, has spent his whole career with Los Boquerones and is currently Malaga's vice-captain.

先前傳馬拉加想買Bendtner
但Bendtner想要好高人工先簽唔成
依架反而阿仙奴想要Jesus Gamez作一部份交易換Bendtner走
太多傳聞，都唔知邊個版本先真
